TEA - Procedures do matter

Tea-making tips for tea enthusiasts and those who look for a moment of tranquility. Tea is one of the essential elements of Chinese culture and the first written record about tea was produced over 2,000 years ago.

1. Add boiling water to the teapot

2. Put appropiate amount of tea leaves into teapot. Warm all the teacups with the brewed tea

3. Add boiling water to the teapot again. Steep the tea in the teapot for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Don't overbrew the tea or it will taste jeopardised.

The delicate aroma, subtle taste of brewed tea always soothes your soul and gives you a moment of tranquility.

'The Compendium of Material Medica' by Li Shizhen, which was produced during the Ming Dynasty of China is a tremendous influence to the world. It mentions the health benefits of tea:

- reduce body heat and fat

- detoxify, restore energy,

- aids digestion,
- improve eyesight

- and refreshes minds

May the scent of tea recall delightful moments spent
